The Suluan Quencentennial marker is the First of 34 Historical Markers

Forming part of the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and the National Quincentennial Committee (NQC) unveil the historical marker that recognizes the role of Suluan Island in Guiuan, Eastern Samar in the first circumnavigation of the world on 16 March 1521.

The Suluan Quincentennial Marker is the first of 34 historical markers mounted along the route of the first circumnavigation that took place in the Philippines.
